Children's Ministry
At Calvary we believe children are at a crucial part of life. They're soft and impressionable toward God, and from the nurseries through the sixth grade, ministry to children is both fun and practical. Here children will learn to love and follow God early in life. With the help of games, activities, and loving teachers, each class is a fun and prepares them for life ahead.
We have qualified godly workers who will love, care and teach your little one in a safe, protected, clean and enjoyable environment; while mom and dad enjoy Calvary’s services. A pager is given to parents in case the workers need assistance during the service. Please come and visit us. We want to meet more of God's little ones.
Preschool (ages 3-5) will learn simple Bible stories
and fun Bible songs.
Primaries (grades 1-2) will enjoy learning activities and simple Bible
lessons.
Juniors (grades 3-6) begin really understanding Bible truths and develop
strong Christian character.
Children’s church is not for anyone. It is for children! Enthusiastic singing, games, Bible Stories, highlight the activities each week. Songs and lessons are prepared on Power Point to keep children excited about what comes next.
A club program designed to encourage young people to study God’s Word. A dedicated staff of workers assists the children in Bible memory, quizzing, and games. A weekly challenge from God’s Word and annual events like the Grand Prix, regional competition, and the Master Club Carnival keep the young people excited throughout the school year.
Master clubs is a program for children ages 4 yrs
old - 6th grade. Directors Randy and Lori Bergeron along with 20 other
volunteers meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:45pm. The children learn
Bible stories, memory verses, and how to live a victorious Christian
life.
They also participate in Regionals Competition which is held every March
at the Campus Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL. There they compete with
other churches, from the area, in various categories: Christian Music,
Christian story telling, Preacher Boys, plus many other events.
They also participate in the Grand Prix event for model race cars. The
cars are designed, sanded and painted by the children (with a little
help from the parents). The children can win prizes for Best Paint Job,
Best in Design, along with prizes for 1st - 4th place race winners.
This ministry is lead by our College Students who are home for the summer months. The children love the enthusiasm and spirit of our college students as they minister to them each week. Activities include, crafts, games, Bible study, and puppets.
Calvary has a bus ministry to reach the children of Fort Walton Beach. Dedicated trustworthy workers devote hours weekly to visiting and picking up children who would otherwise not be able to attend church.
